A true musical revolutionary, Brazilian multi-instrumentalist Tom Zé was a founding member of the Tropicalia movement in the 60ies and has got more than 30 years of career. The extreme contrasts between the wilderness and the new world of neon and fast food joints became the subject of many of the Tropicalia songs. In his music he reflects the history and roots of Brazilian music and mixes with jazz and western music influences. David Byrne took him as the first artist of his label Luaka Bop. In the 90ies he departed for a successful series of tours in Europe and U.S.A. His current album "Jogos De Armar" (Trama) has been distributed in several European countries.
